Golden Slipper for Best Film for Children of 56th Zlín Film Festival went to the Korean debut of director YOON Ga eun THE WORLD OF US and this was the first reaction of hers after she heard the news. This sensitive portrait of a small Sun, who longs for friendship, is not only a part of many international festivals´ programmes, but in June, it has also entered the Korean distribution. It got many good reviews from Korean critics and it scored high attendance for an independent arthouse film. Congratulations to the filmmakers! We wish you best of luck with further journey of THE WORLD OF US.
Le´t s remind that this exceptional movie won also The City of Zlín Award for Best Child Actor in Feature Film for Children. Motivation of the members of the expert jury was: „Since the first shot of the movie the jury fell in love with the actress (CHOI Soo-in). In her eyes you could read everything even without words. The jury was impressed by the way she was not acting but giving live to her role in her own very natural and authentic way.“
