The Zlín Film Festival Has Announced the Winning Films

For the last seven days, Zlín has become the capital of film for children and youth. For the sixty-third time, it welcomed representatives of cinema from all over the world, who competed in six categories with their feature films, animated films and documentaries.

The winning films were announced at the gala evening on June 7, which closed the festival. The ceremony was watched not only by the audience
in the hall, but also on the television screens on channel CT Art. 

The Golden Slipper for the Best Feature Film for Children went to the German film What the Finn?! - A Summer of Surprises. 

"The jury would firstly like to thank Zlin Film festival and all the organisers for such a great event. And also, congratulations to all the film-makers selected for the main competition. We had a difficult task to agree on the main film category for the prestigious Golden Slipper for Best Feature Film in the Children´s category but one film stood out for excellent story-telling, clear direction, and wonderful lead performances from two young actors Lotte Engels and Miran Selcuk," the festival jury justified its choice.

The British film Scrapper was awarded in the category for juniors, and the jury selected the Polish-Israeli-German film Delegation as the Best Feature Film for Youth.

The joint international jury of children and adults awarded the Polish-French film Crab with a Golden Slipper. The creators of the Norwegian film Titina, Swedish film Forever, and the Australian film Sweet As can boast of getting two awards from Zlín. Among Czech films, the student documentary Everything’s Fine, Potatoes in Line was the winner.
