Pavel Nový took over the Golden Shoe
Pavel Nový belongs to the legends of Czech cinema. And this evening, this acting legend received from the hands of the president of the Golden Shoe festival, an award for lifetime contribution to cinematography for children and youth.
Actor and presenter Pavel Nový is known for dozens of film and television roles. At the age of 11, he was chosen by the director Václav Vorlíček for the film Chickens on the Move at the Příbram school. After that, his acting career took off. Among other things, he played in the films I enjoy the world with you, The Ballad of the Bandit, Handsome Hubert, Fists in the Dark, Snowboarders or I Served the King of England. He received the Czech Lion for the main role in the film The Ice Doll.
The actor received the statuette of the Golden Shoe during the evening's opening ceremony at the Congress Center.
The Zlín audience appreciated the New Act with a long standing ovation. "Thanks are due," said the recent award winner on stage. While thanking his parents and the whole family, he mentioned that he will soon be a great-grandfather. And he also thanked the doctors who only in 2007 brought him back to life and gave him, in his words, a "second life". Therefore, he mainly wished the audience good health. "Take care and be kind to children. Which I wasn't much of," he made the audience laugh at the end.
