Help for Honza and Kristýnka. The runners were running for a good cause
Thirty thousand crowns for Honzík, thirty thousand crowns for Kristýnka. Every competitor who stood at the start of the festival half-marathon contributed to a good cause thanks to the organizers.
The 2,000 competitors who decided to run the 8th MONET+ Zlín Festival Half Marathon ran a total of 14,191 kilometers. The organizers of the 63rd Zlín Film Festival donated the same amount to 28-year-old Honzo, who suffers from cerebral palsy.Although he has undergone several orthopedic surgeries on his lower limbs, he likes to play sports.
"Running up the stairs is a little difficult for me. Sometimes I sweat, but that's probably part of it," responded Honza with a smile, who will use the proceeds for rehabilitation. Korunka Pomáhá also increased the yield by the same amount, and rounded the amount to the final thirty thousand crowns.
"The second contribution is the proceeds from the starting RBP family run in the amount of 51,660 crowns. We gave thirty thousand crowns of that to twenty-three-year-old Kristýna, who will use it for rehabilitation and daily help. We then supported children from the asylum in Vsetín with the amount of 21,660 crowns," added Jarmila Záhorová, executive director of the 63rd Zlín Film Festival.
