The Festival Keeps a Wide Range of Visitors in Mind - Today Tips For Film Professionals
Many film professionals meet regularly in Zlín during the festival and this year, again, a diverse professional program has been prepared for them. Under the name Zlín Industry Days 2022, it is offering interesting conferences, presentations, and opportunities for informal meetings and exchanges of views and experience. The program will run from the festival Friday to Sunday and will focus on the development of audiovisual content for children and young people.
FILMTALENT Pitching will open a series of events for film experts on Friday, May 27 Forum, i.e., the final presentation of chosen film projects by students and young aspiring filmmakers applying for financial support from the FILMTALENT Foundation Fund.
Saturday will offer, among other things, a presentation of six contemporary books for children and young people which could provide inspiration for future films. The books will be presented by their
authors and the program includes journalist and literary and film critic Pavel Mandys, co-founder and co-organizer of the annual Magnesia Litera book awards.
"The selection has been designed to offer ideas for both live-acted and animated films, including short films. The meeting is intended for all artists seeking quality and interesting source material for children and youth,”
invites the festival's artistic director Markéta Pášmová, who also drew attention to another point of the professional programme, which is the Central European Children's Film CoProduction Forum. This is a networking platform whose aim is to support partnerships between producers from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, and Poland who are dedicated to films for children and youth. The gathering includes presentations of selected projects in their development phase as well as one-to-one meetings.
The complete Film Industry programme is available here and a number of events will be open to the general public after prior registration.
