Program tips for WEDNESDAY 29. 5.

MAIN TIP: DON´T FORGET YOUR UMBRELLA :-)

A discussion with historian Pavel Taussig will complement the exhibition The Best Years of My Life, which will showcase the works of Josef Pinkava, a director inextricably linked with Zlín's studios. The main guest of the panel discussion on the future of education will be an expert from Finland. The travels screening will show the film Socks Travelling in addition to one of the films from H+Z. A biathlon truck will be parked on Náměstí Míru Square, bringing Czech representatives, and in the evening the Zlín Brass Orchestra will play. The Industry Party with Prago Union promises some unconventional entertainment. The program for film professionals, Zlín Industry Days, has three events planned.

THE MOST IMPORTANT EVENTS OF THE SIXTH DAY:

Josef Pinkava – The Best Years of My Life - opening of the exhibition and a discussion, Cafe Továrna, 6 pm

- discussionby film historian and publicist Pavel Taussig and his guests. The exhibition includes a set of unedited photographs and clips from Josef Pinkava's films, one of the pioneers of films for children and youth, e.g. Holidays with Mina, Chubby, and I Wouldn't Leave Tereza for Any Other Girl. The exhibition will last until June 16.

Panel discussion on the Future of Education, University Center U13, 2 pm - 5:30 pm

- a panel on the future of education, networking with state-of-the-art technology, and collaboration between state institutions and the private sector has been organized by ABB together with the Film Festival and the Aspen Institute. The main guest of the discussion will be Susanna Bäckman, a Finnish research and development specialist for new concepts in pedagogical theory and practice.

Biathlon Truck – Presentation of the behind-the-scenes of the service team of the national biathlon team. Hundreds of pairs of skis and poles have their place in the truck's interior in the high season, as well as two large waxing tables with four work stations, a structuring machine room, and other necessary facilities and tools. During the season, the truck drives 15,000 kilometers across Europe. Selected athletes from the Czech Biathlon Team will also be present. Náměstí Míru Square, 10 am - 7 pm

From Fairy Tale to Fairy Tale: Travelling Through Film – an exhibition of unique costumes from cult Czech films found in unique collections of costumes and props by Barrandov Studios. OZC Golden Apple, 8 am - 9 pm. The exhibition will last until June 1.
