VISIT TO POLISH KINOLUB
The film programmers of Zlín Film Festival Jaroslava Hynštová and Barbora Černá have participated the 2nd edition of International Film Festival of Films for Children and Youth KINOLUB in Poland.
KINOLUB Film Festival is a regional, non-commercial event, visited by approximately 8,000 viewers last year. It is organized by the IKS Foundation with the support of the local and national government, as well as the Polish Film Institute. It takes place in Kraków and other cities in Southern Poland: Wiśniowa, Rybnik, Kielce, Pińczów, Busko Zdrój, Łódź, Boguchwała and Zatwarnica.
In the very first edition last year, an integral part of the festival program became non-competitive section Neighbourhood (Po saşiedzku) had been introduced. Its purpose is to show Polish children the latest production for children and young people in the neighbouring countries. Germany had the part to launch this show and this year was focused on the Czech Republic. Spectators could see THREE BROTHERS by Jan Svěrák, a film debut of Jiří Mádl´s and the winner of the city of Zlin on 2014 TO SEE THE SEA as well as the latest film by Petr Oukropec IN YOUR DREAMS.
The festival director Marta Żurek has been Zlín festival´s longstanding friend and we were honored to be a partner of this section and have the opportunity to visit and support this ambitious young festival.
