The Opening Night Film is Little from the Fish Shop
One of the highlights of the first day of the 55th Zlín Film Festival will be the evening ceremonial opening and screening of the full-length feature film Little from the Fish Shop from creator and director Jan Balej.
A modern adaptation of the original fairy tale The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen, it is a strong story about unrequited love and the moral values of today's society. The story is full of impressive atmospheres, distinctive and unique characters and inspiration. The realities of the modern world together with the visual mastery that is so characteristic of Jan Balej, the film is intended for a more mature audience.
The evening program of the ceremonial opening of the 55th Zlín Film Festival 2015 will take place on Friday, May 29th in Velké Kino Cinema in Zlín.
