ZLÍN FILM FESTIVAL is perpetually a showcase of the filmmaking artistry but it is also an important cultural event in the visual arts sphere. It has not been out of the ordinary that in the past years ZFF's supporting programme was able to amuse its visitors and guests with up to 20 different art exhibitions.
ZLÍN FILM FESTIVAL is perpetually a showcase of the filmmaking artistry but it is also an important cultural event in the visual arts sphere. It has not been out of the ordinary that in the past years ZFF's supporting programme was able to amuse its visitors and guests with up to 20 different art exhibitions. In the forefront of this year will be a retrospective exhibition of one of the leading Czech photographers, Pavel DIAS. This exhibition is taking place as homage to Pavel DIAS's 75th jubilee which he will celebrate on 9th December 2013. The display of his retrospective can be seen during the festival week in the foyer of the University Centre Náměstí TGM in Zlín. Pavel DIAS, born in Brno, is closely connected to the world of film. Since 1989, he has been a professor at FAMU in Prague and furthermore since 2005 he has also been teaching at University of Tomas Bata in Zlín
