Zlín, once upon a time the shoemaking capital of the world is nowadays a student town where 14 thousand come to study. It is precisely due to this fact that year after year ZFF tries to please this target demographic and make the programme for them wider and of a better quality. The 53rd ZFF brings the following to its student visitors:

It is precisely due to this fact that year after year ZFF tries to please this target demographic and make the programme for them wider and of a better quality. The 53rd ZFF brings the following to its student visitors:
- To be part of FILM INDUSTRY programme (details will follow). Thebackbone of this specialist section of the festival is the introduction of individual events that will be taking place from Monday 27.5. to Friday 31.5. always at 11.00, 15.00 and 17.00hrs in the small hall of the Congress Centre Zlín. Students will surely also like to visit the programme Rainbow Marbles - project focused on film marketing (www.duhovakulicka.cz) or fancy may be taken in attending film projection of international film festival of student films Zlín Dog. The programme of Zlín Dog will be unveiled in the beginning of May. .
- OPEN AIR SITE events - grassy hill under Dům umění (Music Hall) in Zlín (TGM sq.). The programmes and events there are taking place daily all the way through from Monday 27.5. till Saturday 1.6. between 16.00 to 02.00hrs. Initial kick start with chill-out music followed by graffiti show, at 20.00hrs a concert, from 21.30hrs an open-air film projection and from approx. 23.00 a DJ! Once the darkness falls you will certainly be interested in the films that will be shown at the OPEN AIR SITE. Here we go: The Dark Knight Rises, Skyfall, Okresni Prebor (Small-town League), Avengers, Spring Breakers and Ted.
- You have already been informed about the afternoon/early-evening concerts on náměstí Míru (main town square) on Saturday 1st June that are taking place in the name of Children's Day and are supported by Český rozhlas (Czech radio). However, 'practice makes perfect' so to sum up: LENKA DUSILOVÁ with her current project Baromantika, VLADIMIR 518 and live premier of the album Idiot, TATA BOJS -perform their new concert programme for the first time.
Notice: these offers are definitely NOT just for students! All is for all! Perhaps, just the youngsters under the age of 18yrs should be at home by 10pm. The adults can leave the Open Air Site and go straight to work. Or school!
