FILM INDUSTRY - Pirate broadcasting

Wed 01.06 | 16:00, Congress Centre

16.00 – 17.00, presentation, Congress Centre Zlín - small hall

An introduction of a newly formed Czech Television programme provides an entertaining way into the themes of media literacy for viewers in age of 8-12 years. Three pirates - Boris, Doris and Hugo – are entering into ČT: D - thanks to an unique program called Počítač. They always interrupt the same program - a storybook reading intended for children. During the thirteen episodes, the pirates will discuss media stereotypes, a difference between the real and media world as well as resources influencing our media. The media themes are discussed in short scenes transmitted by Computer. And so among others, the pirates are becoming the first Egyptian commercial filmmakers, the crew of the series space ship Backspace or actors in a computer game.

Directed by: Karolína Zalabáková, Jan Bártek, Ladislav Cmíral
