Biography
Maria Björklund is a renowned comic artist, animation filmmaker and illustrator from Helsinki, Finland. Since the 1990’s, her comics have been published in Finland and abroad and she has taken part in numerous art exhibitions all over the world. Maria has an MA in animation directing and some of her latest animated shorts are Nearby Far Away (2014) and Summer in Helsinki (2011). As the creator of Planet Z comics she has an essential role in developing the comics into animated series as its main screenwriter, director and visual designer. This film is a part of the set Short Animations 3.
