Ice Mother (2017)
After meeting a hardy fellow named Bronia, the widowed Hana gradually changes her routine, which had so far revolved solely around her sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren. While sixty-something-year-old Hana enjoys a love story, the traditional weekend lunches in the family villa lose their idyllic flavor and it gradually comes to light that each of the characters has a secret. Haniným finds an unexpected ally in her grandson Ivanek, who not only loves the quirky Bronia, but his hen Adela and winter swimming buddies on the river bank. The story reveals the uneasy relationship between three generations and gives hope that on can take their life into their own hands at any age.
