Closely Watched Trains (1966)
Miloš Hrma begins working at a provincial railway station during the Second World War. Historical events are overshadowed by his delicate problem with persistent virginity and by the beautiful train conductor Máša. It seems that the naïve Miloš fits in perfectly with the peculiar staff of the local station, where no one seems to be interested in war or politics. However, fate cannot be escaped. Miloš experiences seconds of intoxicating happiness, becoming a man, and then a tragic hero.
