Biography
He a prominent Japanese animated film director. His rich works include the feature films My Neighbor Totoro (Tonari no Totoro, 1988), Porco Rosso (Kurenai no buta, 1992), Princess Mononoke (Mononoke hime, 1997) and Howl's Moving Castle (Hauru no ugoku wid, 2004).
