Five With a Star (1985) 8

A cheerful children's film about five 7th-graders who experience grand and small adventures in a south Moravian village. StaHo Mati ka, Rosea, Edison, Fera Ondrá ek and the gypsy `tefan Daniel (called DaHo) are an inseparable group of boys. Thanks to a set of binoculars they are the first to see the arrival of the new young teacher Petr Mikea. They help him with his luggage and even furnish his flat so that it's livable. Among other things they give him the palm tree from the hall of the community center used to hide the nakedness of the statue of Thálie. This is just the first "fiasco" the teacher and the boys have during the school year. When his girlfriend Petra moves in with him, her arrival turns into another disaster for the boys, but the veteran teacher doesn't lose his cool.
