Jumping Over Puddles Again (1970)
The setting is the Moravian town of Tlumac ov, where little Adam is enjoying a happy childhood on a stud farm and in its beautiful surroundings. He's inherited a love of animals from his father, who works with the horses, and his only desire is to become as good a rider as his father. But his happy years quickly come to an end and are clouded by the boy's polio. After a long time in the hospital the boy remains paralysed in one leg. He can't move around without crutches or wheelchair. But Adam stays true to his dream and with the help of his friends and a strong will, he even manages to swing up into the saddle, which surprises everyone around... Director Karel Kachyna shot the film based on the same-named book by Australian writer Alan Marshall
