Fritzi: A Revolutionary Tale (2019) 12

Leipzig 1989. Twelve-year-old Fritzi lovingly takes care of Sputnik, the dog of her best friend Sophie, who's gone on vacation with her mother to Hungary. At the beginning of the school year, however, Sophie does not return to school… like many others, she fled to the West with her mother. Fritzi bravely sets out to find her friend – she wants to return Sputnik to Sophia. She thus witnesses turbulent events that change the future of the whole country. BIOGRAPHY Graduated in animation from the Konrad Wolf Film and TV Academy in Potsdam. He worked in the Dresden animation studio Defa, later independently as a producer and director. From his animated movies we'll mention The Sandpixies (Die Sandmanzen, 2006 - 2013), and short films Hansel & Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel, 2012), and Fred & Anabel (2014).
