Hugo and Josefin (1967)
A drama based on the books by the acclaimed children's author Maria Gripe follows Hugo and Josephine, two children from different backgrounds who strike up an unlikely friendship with a visiting gardener after meeting in the woods near Josephine's home.

Biography
A director and screenwriter, he studied at the University of Stockholm. He's worked with disabled children and also devoted himself to screenwriting. He debuted with the award-winning feature film Hugo and Josephine (Hugo och Josefin, 1967). Of his other works we'll mention Hip Hip Hurra! (1987) and Good Evening, Mr. Wallenberg (God afton, Herr Wallenberg, 1990).
