It’s the summer of 1985 in Euskadi. Marcos and his 3 friends, José Antonio, Paquito and Toni, anxiously await a promising summer break from the fresh view of a 12-year-olds who don't have a care in the world. They while away the hours in the maze life has prepared for them in the old Basque town of Euskadi. It’s a maze of painted walls of prefabricated concrete, where life and death no longer keep formal relationships.

Seven-year-old Nora and her big brother Abel are back to school in Belgium. When Nora witnesses Abel being bullied by other kids, she wants to protect him by warning their father.
