The third part of a 4-part television miniseries about Božena Němcová. Having survived a marital crisis, the Němecs are living in the small town of Domažlice. It is 1847 and Josef is an acclaimed financial commissioner and Božena a dreaded "reporter" from the Czech countryside for a newspaper. Both live for politics and for the hope that the emperor will finally recognize Czech rights. They have the same goals and are a strong couple – until revolution upends their lives and dreams.
Just prior to the new school year, Petya’s parents surprise her with the fact that they have gotten divorced. Feeling sad and betrayed, she seeks help and support from her father, but finds out that he has a mistress and is expecting a child from her. Overwhelmed, decides to end it all by diving into the icy sea on the same day that another Petya died: her idol Petya Dubarova. Is it too late to turn back?
The life story of Jan Amos Comenius, who was probably the most famous Czech exile due to his beliefs and opinions. Living most of his life outside his homeland, his unique ideas, recorded in almost 200 books and writings, were fundamentally ahead of his time and influenced the whole world. Comenius' story is told through a scholar's interview with the painter Rembrandt, who drew his portrait. Based on their dialogue, the individual episodes of Comenius' life unfold before us.
