InfoIt all started innocently. Two students from Litomyšl, Jan Pech and František Snopek, out of boyish devilishness, tore up and flushed portraits of Stalin and Gottwald down the school's toilet. The school janitor is on the case, but our two protagonists are not the only ones suspected of the crime. Arrests and interrogations were a political tool of the Communist Party in its struggle against entities that refused to obey it.

An animated documentary tells the personal story of its director, Ilze, about her growing up in Cold-War USSR – about choices a girl has to make in a very young age, then getting wiser and finding the courage to speak out. It is an exciting coming-of-age story about finding one’s own identity, truth, and loyalty. First, we meet Ilze as a little girl playing war at her granddad ́s farm, then she is faced with the horror of war threats at school. Ilze lives in a clash between Soviet reality and state propaganda denying what people actually experience. Moreover, Ilze also finds out how opposite in their beliefs are people whom she loves the most.

Many children have no idea where the food on their plates comes from. Some may say from the grocery store or supermarket... In The Netherlands, school gardens in one form or another have been a feature of school life for over 100 years. The first ones were created at the turn of the twentieth century with the aim of tackling child poverty and in particular poor nutrition. The tradition continues to this day, and while most children no longer suffer from a lack of food, being introduced to a healthy diet remains as relevant as ever. Each child learns how to sow, grow and cook their own food – skills that will last them a lifetime. What better ways is there to fight obesity and and learn about the importance of biodiversity?

This story of hope and human belonging which can stand up to evil is intended primarily for children. Therefore, in its story and art form, it also uses a poetic abbreviation and hyperbole, which makes it possible to convey the most important messages to children through animation. Chlapec Miloš s dívkou Jarmilkou objevují na půdě starého domu v Terezíně tajemné nástěnné malby a kufr plný vzpomínek na druhou světovou válku. Minulost ožívá a uprostřed válečné vřavy se zhmotňuje svět dětské fantazie. Žádná pohádka ale netrvá věčně a transportní vlaky se opět vydávají na cestu do Osvětimi.

The life story of Jan Amos Comenius, who was probably the most famous Czech exile due to his beliefs and opinions. Living most of his life outside his homeland, his unique ideas, recorded in almost 200 books and writings, were fundamentally ahead of his time and influenced the whole world. Comenius' story is told through a scholar's interview with the painter Rembrandt, who drew his portrait. Based on their dialogue, the individual episodes of Comenius' life unfold before us.
