The project Salon of the film clapperboards originated in 1998 as a supporting event of the Zlín Film Festival. The goal was to create a unique way to promote the festival both at home and abroad, and, more importantly to secure financial aid each year to support some of the most talented young filmakers we have. The basic ikea is to create original works of art in the form of film clapperboards that are created in the autumn by leading artists. These clapperboards are then exhibited at several locations and finally auctioned off at the festival. The proceeds are used to financially support the making of live-acted, animated and documentary student films.

The Zdeněk Král band plays the best of Karel Svoboda, Petr Hapka, Jaroslav Uhlíř, Petr Skoumal, Jaroslav Celby, Vadim Petrov, Luboš Fišer, Angela Michajlov, Jan Hammer and Zdeněk Liška. A special guest of the musical talkshow: Ondřej Gregor Brzobohatý - composer, pianist, singer and actor. A unique musical evening dedicated to world film and series melodies. Filip Teller will take us on a trip around the world in 80 minutes. The live band, led by Zdeněk Král will play songs from the films Once Upon a Time in the West, Fantomas, The Godfather, Schindler's List, Madagascar, Pirates of the Caribbean, Sandokan, Mrazík and many others. Further on you will hear songs of Voskovec and Werich and we will also travel to the world of fantasy on the Mysterious Island or to the landscape of The Lord of the Rings. A special guest of the musical talkshow: Pavel Šporcl - the world famous violin virtuoso.
