An old monkey prince runs aground on an unknown shore. Injured and lost, he is found by 12-year-old monkey boy Tom, and taken in by his parents, a couple of scientists who were banished from their community because they believe in the existence of other monkey civilisations. With Tom's help, the Prince discovers a society he knows nothing about, while Tom’s parents decide to use him to prove that their theory was indeed correct... BIOGRAPHY Jean-François Laguionie is an important personality of the French animation school, after making many short films and founding the La Fabrique animation studio, he made his feature film debut with Gwen, or The Book of Sand (Gwen, le livre de sable, 1985). Xavier Picard is french animated film director. He co-directed, e.g., Muumit Rivieralla (2014), Le Voyage du Prince (2019).

Little Peter has to look after his mom's friend's dog, Blek, and the two spend the summer holidays in the countryside with his grandfather and grandmother.
