How to get tickets
Festival visitors can book tickets for all films since May 23 till May 29, 2014 online.
Since May 30 tickets can be bought on that day and the following day at the festival spots.
Tickets and filmpasses can be bought since May 23 in the Golden Apple Cinema and Velké kino, since May 29 also in the Congress Center.
Before the festival capacity of reserved tickets is 50% out of each afternoon film. Afternoon films are primarily offered to schools.

The mayor of St-Victor is proud of the economic dynamism and orderliness of his village. And he gives full credit for the village’s vigorous success to one individual, his valiant rooster; an astonishingly loud and punctual rooster that awakens all the villagers at precisely 4 o'clock in the morning - every day of the week, be it a work day, a Saturday, a Sunday or a holiday. But some of the villagers have had quite enough of the rooster’s relentless early morning crowing...and decide to put a price on his head. They succeed in ousting the raucous rooster but the village immediately suffers negative consequences. Alarmed at the village’s sudden social and economic downturn, a group of citizens will form a special squad to retrieve the bird.

"The Contest", based on a book by Gitte Løkkegaard, tells the story of 12 -year-old Karl who moves from the Danish west coast to the capital city with his mother. Nothing could have prepared Karl for his new surroundings, a rough and ethnically mixed area of Copenhagen, and soon Karl starts to plan his escape back to his grandparents. Sawsan, a young Turkish girl in Karl’s class, takes him under her wings and tries to integrate him into big city life with all its slang and hipness. When one of Sawsan's homemade songs is chosen for a big national song contest, she faces opposition from her family to follow her dream and sing at the contest. But Karl has other plans, and against all odds he and Sawsan embark on a common mission westward.

The Little Ghost lives in the castle of Eulenstein. It awakens for precisely one hour after the clock strikes midnight. But the ghost would really like to see the world by daylight just once. When the kids Karl, Hannes and Sophie go to the castle at night, they encounter the ghost. The next day, the ghost wakes up at twelve o’clock… at noon! His joy soon fades when he’s turned black by the first rays of sun, which scares the town’s inhabitants. Chased by the police, the ghost asks the children for help. They find out that every ghost follows its own designated clock. Since during the yearly inspection, the town-hall clock was accidentally set wrong by exactly twelve hours, the Little Ghost has been forced to wake up during the day. Karl gets the clockmaker to set the clock right again and at last, the Little Ghost can return home.

Nami shows us backstage of the National Theater and we get to see what an audition for the Children's Opera Prague looks like and what happens at a visit to a phoniatrist. A lot of wise and experienced men are talking about Nelly. But in the end it's she who has to hit the ball with her racket. A thousand times a day. Every afternoon. Nelly toils in silence while constant discussion goes on around the court about her talent and how to best work with her so that she can manage tennis and puberty. Perhaps not even Nelly knows how it will turn out .

One night, the drifter Vojta discovers an underground treasure guarded by a mysterious spirit. He flees, but he manages to stuff a few gold coins and a small tinderbox into his pocket. When he eventually uses the tinderbox, he inadvertently summons the spirit, who must now serve him. At Vojta's command, the ghost brings the sleeping princess to him in the night and Vojta immediately falls in love. He can think of nothing other than the princess. The ghost is eager to help as he's grown fond of Vojta; being with him shows him how he had wasted his former life. But when a greedy court lady discovers the secret of the tinderbox and steals it. Now Vojta finds himself in danger, from which only the princess can help.

Teenagers with life-threatening cancer want to live like any other healthy teen. Three of them seem to have a lot of fun on the children's oncology department of a large hospital. They can’t walk, but with their wheelchairs they do risky stunts in the corridors of the hospital. Nick (14) and Iwan (15) have both lost a leg due to bone cancer. An amputation may also be the next phase for their friend Olivier (16). The fourth of the bunch, Pepijn (15), is so ill that he often stays in his room. Friendship and a deep desire to live keep the guys mentally balanced. Things change when Gina (16) arrives. The boys try to seduce her, but Gina is not interested at first. But she realizes that her stay in the hospital will be less depressing if she has friends.

She gradually robs them of their gifts and has them driven out. While she and the king rejoice in all of the money they'll be able to make with the magical items, it takes the soldiers a while to realize what is truly the most important thing in the world for them...
